Career Diploma
The Park Ranger program is a training opportunity for sworn, non-sworn, naturalists, line officers or administrators to gain knowledge and training in subjects affecting today’s parks.
This training is offered to all agencies and individuals who are either employed or want to be employed as a state, federal or tribal park ranger.
This program is designed to cover both the law enforcement and interpretation or service ranger employed on a permanent, temporary or summer only basis as well wardens assigned to enforcement gaming and fish laws.
This introductory program will prepare the beginning ranger for a successful career or serve as a refresher or remedial training for veteran rangers.

Typical Tasks
Specific tasks typically required of park rangers are often times similar to other law enforcement front-line positions while in certain environments, park rangers act as greeters, customer service ambassadors and first responders.
Potential Positions
Park rangers are generally employed in local, county, state and federal park systems but private parks and certain outdoor themed entertainment venues also employ rangers.
Employment Outlook
Public and private green space is once again on the rise with governmental officials acquiring more parkland for public use which increases the need for the use of a park ranger security and enforcement service.
