Private and public safety instructor employment opportunities continue to grow as states mandate more training for security and public safety officers and first responders.

Employment Outlook

Private training schools, career and technical colleges, individual law enforcement and emergency service providers and private security agencies continue to see a greater need for professionally trained instructors, teachers and trainers.

With this increase there will be broad opportunities for full-time, temporary and part-time work. Virtually all job openings will stem from permanent position openings while some may stem from those who go to different occupations or leave the labor force.
