Program Outcomes
Graduates of our Chaplain Program will be able to demonstrate with 90 percent accuracy effective skills and techniques as well as the overall roll, authority, duties and responsibilities of a professional-skilled emergency chaplain.

This self-paced diploma program provides extensive training and curriculum in the core areas that chaplains working with employees in the workplace need and prepares them for the varied duties of their calling.

Degree & Certificate Requirements
Students meet with and are advised by their program advisor to plan and schedule classes. Many classes are sequential, have prerequisites, and/or may only be offered once a year. A schedule of course offerings can be obtained from program advisors. It is estimated a full-time student can complete the Chaplain program in two to four quarters .Because not all courses are offered every quarter, completion times may vary depending on which quarter the student first enrolls.
Students may apply for an Associate of Chaplain Services degree or an Bachelor of Chaplain Services degree. Transfer degree or a certificate upon completion and verification of all requirements and standards. In order to earn a degree or certificate, students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average with no course grade below (2.0).
Typical Tasks
Specific tasks typically required of a Chaplain include counseling and consulting, spiritual leadership and adviser. Responding to emergencies and aiding in death notices, disaster services and prison ministries. This field is wide open and new areas served by Chaplains are opening frequently.
Potential Positions
Chaplains are widely used in a variety of workplace environments including hospitals, industrial and commercial businesses, offices and manufacturers, restaurants, hotels and numerous other types of businesses.
Employment Outlook
The continual increase of the acceptance of workplace chaplains to provide employee assistance programs and counseling as well as emergency resources ensures plentiful job openings, including many opportunities for temporary and part-time work. Virtually all job openings will stem from permanent position openings while some may stem from those who go to different occupations or leave the labor force.
