This is a core subject class that is required for all Electronic Security categories: Central Station Dispatchers, Sales Representatives, Technicians and Technician’s Assistants.
This is a four hour course (plus test time) that is required for all persons seeking a Virginia DCJS registration card.
A test is required to pass this course.

- The Code of Virginia
- DCJS Regulations Relating to Private Security Services
- Ethical behavior
- Confidentiality
- System design
- Basic operation
- False alarm prevention.
