Cannabis Protection Specialist
60 Hour Program On-Line
Twenty-six states and the District of Columbia currently have laws legalizing marijuana in some form. Three other states will soon join them after recently passing measures permitting use of medical marijuana.
Seven states and the District of Columbia have adopted more expansive laws legalizing marijuana for recreational use.
Most recently, California, Massachusetts, Maine and Nevada all passed measures in November legalizing recreational marijuana.
California’s Prop. 64 measure allows adults 21 and older to possess up to one ounce of marijuana and grow up to six plants in their homes.
Other state legislative bodies are currently considering medical use of cannabis in oil form.
Despite state laws allowing certain use of cannabis, it is still against Federal drug laws to possess, sell or transport marijuana in every state.
Armored truck companies cannot transport any cash from the proceeds of marijuana growing or selling operations.
Most states do not allow on duty or off-duty law enforcement to protect, escort, transfer or in any way work at or around marijuana grow or sales operations.
Private Protection Agencies are therefore hired to protect grow and sales locations, transport cash and product and protect property, assets and lives.
