Traffic Control Specialist
Without proper traffic control events and parking areas can often turn into frustrating grid locked problems that only escalate.
Road construction sites employing flaggers and traffic control officers that are untrained and uncertified only add to the confusion, frustration and safety hazards of the construction zone.
The Traffic Control Specialist program will prepare both the entry level as well as the seasoned traffic controller in areas that will lead to better control of the work site while maintaining a safe zone for traffic control workers.
This program includes:
- Personal protective equipment
- Setting up traffic patterns
- Ensuring a safe zone
- Minimizing liability exposures
- Documentation-report writing
- Traffic control devices
- Basic traffic laws
Completion of this 10 week program will certify the student to DOT standards.
This program meets the standards and criteria for traffic control agents and officers, private security and public safety officers, special event and construction flaggers and law enforcement personnel.
In addition, the course provides the student with the material and training necessary to establish a private traffic control or flagger business in most states.
