On completion of this course, the student will have an increased understanding of the public safety services field and how each agency works to provide essential services in their specific areas of expertise while being able to cohesively interact to provide joint services during major emergencies, natural disasters and in times of crises.

The student will have a greater insight into each profession and have a working knowledge of all public safety services offered in their community as well as nationwide.

Public Safety Services is a phrase often used to encompass the professions of emergency medical and fire services, law enforcement and even private security employed in certain roles such as campus or hospital security.

This course introduces the student to five areas of public and private safety services as well as looking at their various roles, differences and training and will also highlight how all areas of public safety meet the needs of providing the general public with all areas of emergency services and protection.
