Specific tasks typically required of a Collections Agent includes calling debtors to secure payments that are behind on commercial accounts, credit cards, medical bills, loans and other secured and unsecured debt as well setting up payment arrangements,
skip-tracing and preparing documents to pursue the debtor through civil litigation.

Collection and recovery agents are used widely in first and third party collection agencies as well as law firms.
